Terms and Conditions – BBRFC Celtic Club Membership

These Terms and Conditions apply to the purchase and use of Club Memberships acquired online, in person, or via telephone from BBRFC Celtic ASBL/VZW (the “Club”).

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing a Club Membership.

Definitions

  • “The Club” means BBRFC Celtic ASBL/VZW, a registered non-profit association under Belgian law.

  • “Ground” means The Recreation Ground or any location designated by the Club as its home venue.

  • “Match” means any rugby game held at the Ground involving any of the Club’s teams.

  • “Training” means scheduled training sessions for any of the Club’s teams at the Ground.

  • “Season” means the period from 1 August to 31 July.

  • “Club Membership” means the membership package provided under these Terms and Conditions.

  • “Club Member” means a person who holds a valid Club Membership.

  • “Ground Regulations” means all rules applicable to behaviour, access, and conduct at the Ground, which the Club Member agrees to comply with unconditionally.

1. General

  1. Club Memberships are issued by the Club and are subject to these Terms and Conditions.

  2. By purchasing or using a Club Membership, the Club Member acknowledges and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If not accepted, the Member should immediately contact treasurer@bbrfcceltic.eu.

  3. Members who register online have the right to cancel the membership within 14 days. If the membership was not used during this period, the cancellation is free of charge. If used, The Club may charge a pro-rata fee.

  4. Use of the Club Membership for access to Trainings or Matches constitutes acceptance of the Ground Regulations.

2. Conduct and Compliance

  1. Misconduct, breach of these Terms and Conditions or of the Ground Regulations, or any behaviour deemed by the Club to bring the Club into disrepute or damage its interests, may result in:

    • Suspension or termination of the Club Membership without compensation;

    • Denial of entry to Matches, Trainings, or events;

    • A temporary or permanent ban from Club activities.

  2. The Club reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time, provided changes are communicated via email or website notification.

  3. Club Members can submit complaints via president@bbrfcceltic.eu. If unresolved, disputes may be referred to the consumer mediation service.

3. Membership Use

  1. Club Membership permits access only to the individual named on the Membership for Matches and Trainings at the Ground.

  2. Membership is personal and non-transferable without prior written consent from the Club.

4. Refunds and Liability

  1. Club Memberships are non-refundable, except where required under Belgian consumer protection legislation (e.g. right of withdrawal for distance purchases under Book VI of the Belgian Economic Law Code).

  2. Booking or administrative fees are non-refundable under all circumstances.

5. Liability and Safety

  1. The Club disclaims, to the fullest extent permitted by Belgian law, any liability for:

  • Loss, injury, or damage (direct or indirect) to persons or property in or around the Ground;

  • Loss of enjoyment, travel, or accommodation expenses.

  1. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits the Club’s liability for gross negligence or fraud.

  2. The Club reserves the right to introduce additional reasonable conditions for the safety, security, and wellbeing of all persons attending the Ground.

6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with Belgian law.

  2. Any dispute arising from or related to the Club Membership shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels, unless otherwise provided by mandatory consumer law.
