Mens XVs

A multinational, multicultural team in the heart of Brussels, we welcome players of all ages (18+) and skill levels. We live by the motto, “Once BC, always BC. With three seniors’ teams, we surely will find the right spot for you!

Not sure about joining? The first three training sessions are completely free - this will give you a chance to understand our level of competition and get a feeling for the electric club atmosphere. If you like what you see, you’ll have to register through Twizzit (our app to organize attendance and matches), complete a medical form + check-up for insurance purposes, and of course, pay your club fees because (surprise surprise) running Belgium’s largest international rugby club costs some money.

Have any questions? You can always reach us at menxv@bbrfcceltic.eu and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Our Teams

As a club that welcomes any and all players, rest assured that we will find the team that is right for your rugby level and experience. Come to training and the coaches and captains will work to get you onto the pitch as soon as possible!

Men’s XV – 1 (Firsts)

Competing in the 2nd National Division of Belgian Rugby, the Men’s 1st team finished the 2023/24 season in 4th place, qualifying for the playoffs. As the team carrying the reputation of the club, the 1st team is the most competitive out of the three in the men’s section. While also the case with the other 2 teams, an absolute prerequisite for playing in the 1st team is regular training attendance and availability for (nearly) all matches.

Men’s XV – 2 (Reserves)

Competing in the “3rd National Division – Reserves” of Belgian Rugby, the Men’s Reserves team finished in 2nd place in the 2023/24 season, narrowly missing out on the championship. The 1st and 2nd team travel together, playing on the same day, as every Division 3 team also has a Reserves team. The Reserves are there to challenge the players on the 1st team, offering a good opportunity to showcase one’s playing ability to eventually move up to the 1st XV.

Men’s XV – 3 (Regionals)

Competing in the 2nd Regional Division in Flanders, the 2024/25 season marks the first time in years that our Men’s section has put up its own 3rd team. The Regionals are seen as the Men’s Section’s “challenge” team, consisting of a mix of experienced veterans, promising rising stars, and newbies to rugby. This team is ideal for those that are looking to grow their leadership skills, as there’s always need for a strong voice for the rest of the team to rally around.
