Founded in 1995, the BBRFC-Celtic Women have been a consistent presence in Belgian Women’s Rugby. Highlights throughout their history include winning the Triple Crown in 2005-2006 and becoming the Belgian Champions. In 2017-2018, the BBRFC-Celtic Women won the Belgian 2nd division, ensuring their promotion to 1st National Division!

We are proud to call ourselves a through-and-through international team that today’s team includes over a dozen nationalities. We are open to players from all backgrounds and levels of experience, and offer an excellent networking opportunity (read social side). Club socials, pubcrawls, BBQ’s… lift the team spirit and give members a great opportunity to socialise and network with people from all over the world.

Upcoming matches

Practice sessions are held every
Wednesday and Friday from 20:00 – 22:00

  • Wednesday trainings:
    will be held at the VUB rugby pitch, found in front of the tram stop VUB.

    Friday trainings:
    will alternate between the VUB pitch (see above), or the Tritomas rugby pitch, just next to the bus stop Tritoma

  • Sundays:
    We play matches on most Sundays, and in addition to our season-long competitions, we also organize friendly matches with both Belgian and touring teams from the UK, Netherlands, France, Spain and beyond.

  • During the summer we also occasionally play 7s and may have random rugby training sessions in various spots.

    Many players also train and play with the Touch team as well during the off season. Please note that the only breaks in training are for major and national holidays.

The first 3 training sessions are entirely free – what a bargain! After that or before your first match you will need to complete your registration via Twizzit and medical forms for insurance purposes, and of course pay your registration fees.

Once you have given us a try and are ready to sign up, you will be able to complete your full registration and fee payment via your BBRFC Twizzit account.  If you have any questions, please email treasurer@bbrfcceltic.eu.
